The food and service was wonderful. Looked like the staff was enjoying themselves and was having a good time at work. You could tell they love their job. Which is a big change from our previous visits! Look forward to coming back!!
Just had a great experience with Carside to go! The women working the to go part were very attentive and kept informing me what was going on with my order even though it was snowing out and freezing cold! Ultimately, my order ended up being a bit later than expected and a female manager (bad with names, terribly sorry!) came out, greeted me with a smile and handshake and made it right with me even though I wasn't too terribly disappointed as I have a strong heater and my pup was keeping me company. :) Food was very good and still warm by the time I returned home, which is a feat with togo orders in the winter. Thank you!
Overall the service was okay. I would say the feeling of it is very charming, servers are generous, the food was good; flavors were okay. But the tables were crowded with stuff, the order tablet screen was dirty, and they wasted dishes by giving us completely different glasses for refills. And when we were ordering desert for my father's birthday, they were a little too loud singing happy birthday.

Our family moved within the past few months after living in Grand Island all my life. I have been to Applebees many times and never had a problem until last night. Our waitress was rude and only came back twice during our whole time there. Once to bring us our food and then to bring us our check! The food we ordered was cold, flavorless and didn't look edible to be honest. I had to flag down our waitress to ask if this was the right order and all I got was.."Sorry that's how it comes" Really?? No apology or effort to make it right. Fine. While we were eating, 3 employees were jumping up and down, cussing trying to put up decorations for Veterans Day in front of my 3 children all under the age of 6. By this time, I got someone to find our waitress to get our ticket and go! We had a long drive home and just wanted a familiar place to go to eat we had enjoyed in the past many times. Pretty disappointed in food quality and the staff.
I brought my mother (75) and my wife and daughter to Applebee's here in Grand Island, Nebraska. We were greeted at the door by an employee who smiled and held the door open for us. We were seated in a location well suited for my elderly mother (she has to use a walker). Waitress was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Our appetizers and drinks were served promptly. Our orders were taken and the meal was served hot. My daughter was celebrating her 22nd birthday and all the help gathered around and sung "Happy Birthday" to her and served her a complementary dessert. I was very impressed with the service! We will be returning again! Well done, Applebee's! !
