I've never been to Hunan's in GI until last night. Hastings was always my go to. While I love the Hastings restaurant (Best hot sour soup...ever...) I was very impressed with my take out order. I called ahead and the young woman was quick, polite and professional. Moments later, I was met at the front counter with everything ready to go. I had asked for extra soy and sweet and sour sauce...wow! They loaded me up...big time. Usually I have to bring a gun to most places to just get an extra packet of catsup! Not here...
Ordered take out. It was over cooked the chicken (General tso) was hard and dry. The rice tasted like a whole bottle of soy had been poured in it. The won ton soup was flavorless and the wontons inside it were gritty. My husband said the egg drop soup had no flavor. His sweet and sour chicken breading fell off and the chicken he got (was a lot of it) but it was like half a chicken breast gigantic pieces. Oh the crab rangoon. The cream cheese mixture inside of them was very salty and not edible. So very disappointed. They used to have great food.
The portions where large and the flavor was excellent. They provided plenty of all that we needed and I basically face planted my plate, snapping at the food like a hungry werewolf. I highly recommend the GI Hunan's restaurant and will definitely order there again.
Place looked alright at first, but the service was very disappointing. I ordered Cabernet wine and instead was brought Chardonnay. I asked them to take it back and get what I wanted and didn't touch the wine. Ten minutes later, I finally get Cabernet and she took the other one away. My girlfriend and I waited for 45+ mins for rubbery, cold duck, and frozen deep-fried white fish. When my girlfriend requested some kind of discount for her beef jerky textured duck, the manager acted like she was lying and was getting really blunt and rude. She took a whopping 10% off and continued to act like she was lying and told her that was how that kind of duck was served. So if you like barely warm, rubbery duck and frozen food, come here. This chick ruined our whole night and made us very mad. WILL NOT BE COMING BACK
One of the best lunches I've had in a long time. Everything was excellent. Service was even better. Thanks for a great lunch.
Normally they are great and would get a 5 star. Last 2 times they have been off.
Ordered at 11:55 am. Delivered at 1:25, $46.00 order, egg rolls were completely cold on the inside, crab ragoon was completely mush, no crunch at all, its like it had been rewarmed in the microwave, called them to let them know and the manager, Sammy, was so unprofessional and rude, she said it was our fault cause we waited to long to eat it cause I called at 1:35 and it had been delivered for 10 min lol, we ordered hunans at least twice a month for our salon, now we will never go back!
