Good food fast. Small menu. Great memory from my childhood.
I honestly can only grasp this place has a high rating because people's nostalgia overrides their pallette. The hot dogs are literally the cheapest ones you can purchase and still legally call them hot dogs, instead of the all-beef hot dogs the real Coney Island is known for. Their "meat" topping is vaguely reminiscent of what a cat pukes up after eating soft food, both in smell and looks. The few times I've visited I ended up not eating because all 4 times, their bread was moldy. So that takes out the only thing they're "famous" for, completely. The malt was ok, but I'd really like to see how they clean at the end of the night, so I know I won't get tetanus. Maybe if they started using real food, I would change this, but I'll tell everyone I know, because it happens to all of them..."The reason you have indigestion after eating there, is probably because your body isn't used to eating non edible foods."
This place is a fixture in Grand Island. Simple menu with great food. Always make a point to stop here when in town.
For a 100 yr old quick food stop, the place is a little worn and dated. But the Coney dogs and burgers are top notch.
George does the greatest corney dog. He and all of his help are very friendly. Took my Grandson and had a great experience.
